An Audit expert with over 25 years of experience in internal audit, risks and controls, the majority of that as head of the internal audit function and reporting to the Board Audit Committee.

I carry a passion for internal audit, assurance, and corporate governance and provide trainings on International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and Global Internal Audit Standards issued by the Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA), USA.

My work experience includes Big4 (Deloitte) and multiple sectors i.e. banking, manufacturing, transport, automotive, distribution, construction, MEP, real estate and consultancy. I also carry a valuable experience in Audit, Antifraud, Financial controls, IS/IT audits and controls (COBIT), Control frameworks (COSO and SOX), Fraud Examination and anti-fraud controls.

I am a Chartered Accountant from Pakistan (ICAP) and England & Wales (ICAEW), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE) and a Certified information Systems Auditor (CISA). I am also Certified GRC Professional (CGRCP) and Auditor (CGRCA) and certified Sarbanes Oxley Expert (CSOE) and Certified Risk Based Auditor (CRBA).

I have vast experience in reporting to the Board of directors and Audit Committees since 2002 as well as senior management.

Possess global experience of MENA region (UAE, Qatar, KSA, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt & Syria), South Asia (Pakistan and India), Central Asia & Europe (Kazakhstan, Russia, and Italy). I have successfully executed various audits for over a billion USD projects and managed multicultural teams.

Run successfully a youtube channel on Audit Strategy covering mainly Internal Auditing Standards with around 2.5k subscribers and 90k views.
