Mahar is a highly accomplished CA with memberships in both the ICAEW and the ICAP. His professional journey commenced in 2004 at PwC, where he laid the foundation for asuccessful career.

Throughout his 15 years of professional experience, Mahar has been an influential figure in the field of corporate taxation. He has conducted numerous training sessions on corporate tax in the UAE. Additionally, his insightful articles on corporate compliance matters have been featured in the esteemed "Khaleej Times”. Notably, Mahar's expertise in taxation was further honed during his tenure as an Associate Director Tax at Baker Tilly. His contributions continued at Galadari Brothers, where he held the esteemed position of "Group Tax Manager," overseeing tax matters across the GCC region for prominent entities such as MAZDA, Baskin Robbins, Komatsu, and JCB.

Mahar has independently led large-scale seminars on corporate tax, VAT, and Economic Substance Regulations (ESR) for industry professionals. Mahar's expertise has also been showcased at the prestigious "Accounting and Finance Show" in the Middle East, where he served as the main speaker on VAT for three consecutive years. Moreover, his passion for imparting knowledge has led him to teach "Strategic Financial Management”, to CAs, ACCA, and MBA’s students in Dubai, further cementing his reputation as a distinguished professional in the field of tax, finance and accounting.
